Basic Outline

1. Preparation of the space
   1. Set up chairs, altars, (water pitcher), etc. (before arrival of participants)
   2. Light incense and main candles (as signal we are about to begin)
   3. Smudge room and participants (as a way of encouraging them to be seated and prepare to enter sacred space)
2. Entering sacred space
   1. Spoken welcome (brief)
   2. Coming together
      1. Opening song (if desired)
      2. Unity song and greeting each other with hugs
   3. Meditation
   4. Declaration of Center (call and response)
3. Invocations
   1. Tending altars (can sing a three kindreds chant, or a general praise song)
   2. Song of welcome to Ana and Lugh
   3. Song or prayer to deity of the occasion (if there is one)
4. Presentation
   1. Teaching, reflection, reading, or talk
   2. Praise, communion with spirits, practicum, performance, or whatever (songs)
5. Announcements
   1. General accouncements
   2. Announcements of need of community members not present
   3. Statements of need by those present
6. Return
   1. Shared drink (song)
   2. Healing (songs if appropriate)
7. Closing
   1. Song (celebration or thanksgiving)
   2. Thank the spirits, extinguish all but main candles
   3. Closing song (unity, farewell, recessional)
