SLG Business Meeting

August 9, 2005

Called to order: 7:45pm

Attending: Rob Henderson, Rod Cox, Jude Howison, Gen Stoyak and Chuck Howison. Also attending guests - Inga and Brian

Officer Reports

Senior Druid - Rob Henderson
Lugh Fest: Friday evening was very well attended. The ritual Saturday was small but not unexpected since the weather was so nice. There were about 25 people with Friday and Saturday combined.

STATE OF THE GROVE: Membership and participation continue to increase. We are planning to start having more regular An Bruane meetings to work on cosmology and spirituality.

Asst. Senior Druid - Rod Cox
We had a nice festival, we gained 2 new members. Meditation went well at Ritual. Wewere able to incorporate many of the elements into the Ritual and that may well have contributed to the good omen.

Administrator - Jude Howison
There were 3 people at the last Dedicant study group meeting. I hope there will be more at the next meeting. I am looking forward to regular An Bruana meetings.

Scribe - Jude Howison
Still behind on minutes but am making progress. I plan to send a report to Oakleaves.

Pursewarden - Rod Cox - We are spending too much money. See seperate report.

Chronicler - Gen Stoyak
It has been proposed that we send a postcard type calendar to non-members in order to save money on printing and postage. Members would continue to receive a full newsletter. There was no newsletter for Lughnasadh, one is due out at Fall Equinox. As usual, submissions are needed.

Public Relations - Chuck Howison
Lots of notices went out and seem to have worked well for Friday at least.

Youth Activities Coordinator - (none)
We have a new youth member.

Web Master - Rob Henderson
Lughnasad stuff is up but still behind on some of the other posting.

Guild Leader Reports

Magicians - Rod Cox - Not much happening this month.

Healers - Rod Cox

Warriors - Rod Cox

Producers - Gen Stoyak (Pro-tem) -- The Flowers of the Gods and Hena workshops at Lugh fest were very well attended.

Other Agenda Items

1. Election progress. - Craig - Craig is absent but Rob reports that as of last discussion he had not received any response to nominations.

2. Summer activities. When do we want to set up the zoo trip?

We will meet at the front gate at 10am on 8-21-05.
