Minutes of the Shining Lakes Grove Business Meeting, June 1998

Jacqui was late so the meeting did not start until 8:00.

A check-in occured at 8:00.

Officer Reports:

• Chronicler - Ripples and SLN done. Need to be copied.
• Scribe - Fox and Jacqui sharing duties. Membership database turned over to Rob.
• Administrator - Need to look at the business health of the Grove.
• Pursewarden - Have a positive balance of over $400.
• Membership - No inquiries at all for the past month.
• Ecologist -
  • Have dates for August 1998 thru May 1999 on Watershed and Adopt-a-Stream work dates. Training for search and mapping workshops start in August. On next Stream Search date (once workshops are complete) will participate.
  • Toad is trying to arrange a date for Guy Stenburg (a leading oak authority) to present a workshop.
  • Still need a Seer to manage energies for July 25th work day.
  • Naturalist Guild forming on local level. Would like to have local folks meeting.
• Outreach Coordinator - Presented several proposed announcements and publications to put them in.

Guild Head reports:

• Bards - Not meeting this summer.
• Warriors - Working on by-laws - last revision was submitted to Leadership Council for review, but was not accepted because levels were not clearly defined. Currently finalizing plans for festival security.
• Seers - Turnout for Kit's program was a success. Members continuing to present their research topics.
• Healers - Lacked quorum for meeting.
• Magicians - Still no attendees.
• Artisans - No report.

The meeting was closed at 9:00 PM.
